Months ago Wiseco was having lots of problems with their pistons because they were not marking or specifying the fact that their pistons were directional, because of an offset wrist-pin. Some of the pistons were being installed backwards resulting in lots of chatter. We convinced Wiseco to start including this in the documentation as well as very clearly marking the pistons, even with stickers on top. After these issues were resolved we still noticed some light noise from some of the cars with Wisecos installed. These noises were not causing any real detriment to the engines but just enough to be annoying to some. After researching and taking measurements from serveral different sets of forged pistons what we consider a design flaw was discovered with the Wiseco pistons. We had Wiseco build a set of pistons to our specifications and they have been installed in Ash's car. The car runs extremely quietly with no problems. This design is exclusive to Z1 for now although Wiseco will probably implement the change soon to the pistons they regulary sell for the Z32 TT. The Wiseco piston is stong, very light, and now quiet. We do not see any reason to buy anything else. We offer the sets in 87.5mm and 88mm for $540 with or without Polydyne coatings. The Polydyne coatings consist of a ceramic heat deflective top coat and a friction reducing moly side coat. There are no inherent problems with using the coatings, they just can't be taken into account when measuring piston to bore clearance.
